If you're interested in good tech news, you definitely know Tech Crunch! We love Tech Crunch and always thought it would be great to be featured. They thought so too, apparently! Last summer, our team decided to branch out by building a video dating app. Yes, I know what you're thinking. That is not a very usual way of branching out in the SaaS industry. When Tech Crunch came across us in startup alley at Disrupt Berlin, they felt inspired to write about our unusual approach.

Here is what we did. We reused our core streaming technology for a consumer-focused social experiment. After a period of internal beta testing — which was fun, especially for a B2B-focused team like us — we launched an experimental dating app in November, called AHOI. (Available for android only at this point!) We are still working on improving it, but hey, it's a lot of fun and you should DEFINITELY
download it! Feedback is always welcome too! 🙂 After all, Tech Crunch featured us because we've built something worth writing about, right? Our CEO and co-founder, Andreas Kröpfl, felt inspired by the current dating scene. More and more people are disappointed by perfect profiles on
Tinder and the reality when meeting people," he says. "Wasted time. Women, especially, do not want to be stalked by men who are pretending to be someone else. We solve both by a real live conversation where only after a call can both decide to be connected or never see each other again." Curious to find out why Tech Crunch featured an article on us? Find out what Natasha Lomas has to say about
the B2B video conferencing startup that's gone crazy for online dating 😉 And if you're not into dating apps, do not worry: we are still working hard on providing
the best possible video solutions for you and your team.
